Twin Anchors is a neighborhood institution in Chicago-known for their food and friendly atmosphere

Obviously the photo is not of me-rather my three grandchildren playing nice together at the piano! But like art it is-planned but with a large element of the unexpected-yielding a result that one hopes touches the viewer. This photo epitomizes for me art. I began painting several years ago with the encouragement of my family, in fact bought me a set of brushes and canvases from a local hobby store. Combining that with local classes and a penchant to get better brought me where I am. I enjoy the interface of man and nature-the hard verticals and horizontals of man contrasting with the softer curves of God and nature.
